Story of Veerabhadra, Lord Shiva & Devi Sati
Story of Lord Shiva and Sati.
Devi Sati was daughter of Daksha, she was meant to marry Lord Shiva, after extreme penance (tap) of Devi Sati, Lord Shiva married Devi Sati, it was against the wish of her father, Daksh was a Vaishnav Convict (Apradhi), He Always hated Lord Shiva, one day he planned to arrange a Yagya in that he invited all Lords including Brahma.
He didn’t invite Lord Shiva or Devi Sati, seeing this Devi Sati became sad and went to the Yagya and asked her father why he did so, Then her father Daksh abused Mata Devi Sati in front of all rishis, and Lords, he even abused Lord Shiva, Devi Sati couldn’t resist harsh words of her and with that pain she decided to end her life, she didn’t wanted to live after hearing such abusive words against Lord Shiva, So she jumped into the Yagya and sacrificed her life.
Seeing this all the Lords and Rishis were shocked, three worlds shook, When Lord Shiva got to know about this, he became extremely angry, He took his hair and threw it in the mountain, from that the most fearsome ,the Rudra Roop of Lord Shiva, the first Rudra Avatar Virbhadra appeared, After that Lord Shiva threw his another hair on mountain and from that Mata Bhadrakali appeared, Then Lord Shiva ordered both of them to destroy the Yagya and bring the head of Daksha, if any Gandharv, Lord (Devta) try to stop, destroy them too.
Then Lord Shiva also sent 1o Millions Rudra (Shiva Ganas) into battle, the three worlds shook in fear, all Lords (Devatas) were terrified, after seeing this all Lords thought to protect the Yagya they sat on their vehicle and planned to attack Lord Veerabhadra, However Lord Veerabhadra defeated them, all 33 gods couldn’t stop or touch Lord Veerabhadra, Even Lord Brahma couldn’t stop Lord Veerabhadra with his powers and divine weapons, And even Mata Saraswati couldn’t stop Mata Bhadrakali even after using her powers, Lord Brahma stops fighting Lord Veerabhadra, Lord Veerabhadra Spoke, You all have become blind by this Daksha, You all are convict (Apradhi) of Lord Shiva.
Lord Veerabhadra defeated all 33 Gods, Lord Indra vajra couldn’t even touch Veerabhadra, then Lord Veerabhadra destroyed the Yagya and chopped the head of Daksha.
After seeing this all Devta requested Lord Shiva to give Daksha his life back, Then Lord Shiva being “Bholenath” kindest among all, gave life to Daksha by giving him a goat head, and the Daksha apologized for his crimes in front of Lord Shiva and Lord Shiva forgave him.
Devta including Indra were injured in the battle Lord Shiva cured them all, and then by the grace and innocence of Supreme Parmeshwar Lord Shiva the Yagya was completed.
According to Shiva Purana and Skanda purana even Lord Vishnu existed in that battle, according to that even Lord Vishnu fought Lord Veerabhadra, but Lord Vishnu didn’t fight he just pretended to fight Lord Veerabhadra.
But according to Vayu purana and Shrimad Bhagavatam Lord Vishnu was not present in that Yagya, Lord Veerabhadra is the most fearsome Rudra Roop of Lord Mahadev.

Nanda Devi Peak Painting
The mountain I was painting is “Nanda Devi Peak” It’s the 23rd highest mountain in the world and 2nd Highest in India, Nanda Devi is one of the daughters of Himalaya, the rest are Sunanda, Ganga, Parwati. I always used to adore this mountain, this mountain can be seen from Auli and a few more places near Joshimath. In 2019 when I was on a trip to Badrinath Kedarnath, in between we visited Auli and spent some time there, and there I witnessed a Beautiful Nanda Devi Peak, That time I decided I will paint it soon, After coming back from Kedarnath I got chance to paint Nanda Devi Peak, and I had to paint it on 1.2m*2.0m Canvas it was bigger than my expectation, I usually paint it in small cardboard.
So I started Painting, before painting it I bowed before Nanda Devi, and picked my paintbrush, and started painting.
You can watch here How I painted it.
After painting it I wanted to take it to Auli but due to bad weather it was not possible.
You can buy prints of the painting from the online shop.
Badrinath Temple Painting
Badrinath – One of the most famous & one of my favorite places, this is the most energetic place I have ever seen,
Shri Badrinath Dham, situated on the bank of Alaknanda, place is also known as Alkapuri, the temple stands in the valley of Narayan parvat (mountains) & on the bank of the Narayan parvat (Mountain) there is Neelkanth parvat (Mountain), Nar parvat is opposite to the temple where shops & residential area of local can be seen, In between Nar & Narayan parvat Alaknanda River touches the feet of Lord Badrinath.
The temple was re-established years ago by Adiguru- Shankracharya, Skand Puran tells us how the idol of Lord Vishnu re-established the temple, there are many stories around the world that how Shri Badrinath Temple was re-established by Adi Guru Shankracharya, Adi guru meditated in Jyotirmath where got to know about the statue of lord Badrinath is in Narad Kund.
The lord statue is in meditation posture, or Padmasana Posture.
There is a story that this region of Himalayas is of Lord Shiva, and how the Lord Vishnu came here because you will see Lord Vishnu Temples are in the south region of India & moreover everyone knows from their childhood that the Lord Shiva lives in the Himalayas.
Shri Badrinath is also known as Shri Vishnu Bhagwan
The main gate of the temple is quite colorful and artistic, with a big gong hanging on the door, which impresses visitors with an artifact of the gate; the main gate leads visitors to the temple premises.
This place is my favorite place in the world, and there is a reason behind it, it’s because whenever I feel low, going to this place brings a hope like a small ray of light in a dark room, It took 4-5 hours daily for 12 days to paint this, Started with the sky then one by one mountain than with the top of the temple, painting it was like painting the original temple, it was like I am really painting it, I lived every breath in the painting.
It was quite difficult to paint it and giving so much detailings to the painting but as my favorite author says, Masterpieces takes time & Patience, so that is the reason why this small painting took 64 hours, everytime you will see the painting it will look like a new one, which gives you a tremendous amount of energy, I wanted to share all those positive vibes I feel, while painting it and afterward, I wanted to share that energy with everyone so I thought the best way to send it will be Post Card & Poster Prints, and I printed them and sending them to everyone, you can get yours from Shop.livinginpainting.com.
So I planned my trip to Badrinath as I mentioned in my previous blogs, and launched it there, It was a beautiful moment, a moment to remember for life, which I also captured in a photograph.
Kedarnath Temple Painting
I always wanted to visit Kedarnath Temple and feel the energy field over there, so in 2019 I decided that I will go there, but in the rainy season we are not allowed to go because everyone remembers 2013, so after that, I went to college, After one year when I came back I decided to paint the Badrinath and Kedarnath Temple and then with the painting I thought, I will visit both places, So I started Painting Badrinath, Then I started painting Kedarnath and in the middle, I with one of my college senior started planning a trip in, few days he came to Joshimath, and we started our trip here, the First day we went to Badrinath, 2nd Day we launched Painting of Badrinath which I am gonna post in another blog, so Next day we came back to Joshimath, Day 3 we visited, Shankracharya Math, Narshing Temple, Jyotirmath, Day 4 we went to Auli to see Nanda Devi Peak, that day I decided I am going to paint it, then I painted it, which will be out soon, then we went to Gadi Bhawani Temple, where Parwati ji started Tapasya, then next day we left for ‘Kedarnath”, for so long I was waiting for this moment to come, that day we picked another route via Chopta, so on the way we took a small tea break in Chopta, enjoyed the beauty and our next destination was Guptkashi, so we visited Vishwanath Temple Kashi, temple was amazing and there is beautiful story about the temple, due to bad weather our helicopter service cancelled and we both were so sad but the hopes were high so for next day we rebooked our tickets and next day at 1100 hours we left hotel, we were so happy, because Baba Kedar was near, at 1155 hours we landed in kedarnath it was 7 minutes beautiful journey from Sersi to Kedarnath, and the moment we landed, snow fall started, that was the best feeling, best welcome that one could experience in lifetime, so I was happy and made a video, which is here… So the temple was incomplete that day and I wanted to feel it before I paint it and we went in heavy snowfall, did darshan and I felt that energy there which was beyond everything I looked at the temple like a child looking at balloons, then we spent few hours there drinking tea looking at weather temple feeling the energy there, and in the evening I started painting it, I finished it at around 2’ O’clock in the night and that was the night of Kaal Ratri, later my senior told me that, it was the night of dedication and passion, next day was a big day, we were going to launch painting, so in the morning we went, I took the painting with me inside the a temple it was rapped in a cloth and inside the temple, Took it out and the first look of painting was facing towards the Jyotirling, then everyone there started seeing it and they were so happy to see the painting, then we clicked some pictures outside the temple and for a long time everyone was coming there clicking pictures with painting. Then we stayed there for a week and the last day we started walking down from Kedarnath and stayed at Linchauli, in the morning we started our journey again this day we had the plan to visit Trijuginarayan Temple, where shiv and Parvati Ji got married, the temple was beautiful, it’s the perfect wedding destination, the more I say about the place the less it is, after that, we visited Kalimath, we arrived there in the evening at around 7, the kali river was looking really black, it was a perfect day. Somehow the above picture got viral on social media and became the face of Shri Kedar on various groups and pages for a good period of time.
